I own an Irwin 30 and participate in our local racing on Lake Simcoe in Canada. I have a CYA Intermediate certifiacation. I would like to do some long distance Ocean racing. I am a chef by trade, so would be able to assist with meals (but not looking for a full time cooks position) Thanks Gary

Hello, I am a unlimited able bodied merchant seaman. I am working on my classes for my 3rd mates license, but the whole reason I started doing this was I wanted to learn to sail & race. So if anyone is looking for crew and is willing to teach, I am more than willing to learn. I am a complete beginner, I don't think I have any bad habits or attitude. Please somebody give me a chance! I've had some very limited experience but am a serious fan of sailing and want to learn the ins and outs. Have sailed w/ father in law when we get a chance to go home, he races Lasers on Lake Michigan w/ the Racine Yacht Club. I've just returned from a 9 day sailing trip w/ 5 friends throughout the BVI's. The goal is to learn as much as possible w/ people who are looking for crew that will work hard and wants to learn. I have been sailing for 8-10 years. Mostly crusing, but some racing in the past. I have ASA Advanced Coastal Cruising and occasionally charter on SF Bay and Monterey Bay. I am proficient (but not expert) at most crew tasks including helm. Willing to be all-around crew, or to focus on a specialized position if that is the way the boat is run.

Hi all, I'm incredibly interested in learning more about sailing. I'm 5'11" in fit condition, mid-twenties, and I have an open schedule because all of my work is done online. Looking to crew any sailing vessels that need additional help. I've sailed a few times before, and know the basics of how to get by. I'm looking eventually to purchase my own sail boat in order to sail more regularly. My girlfriend is also available in most cases if you need more hands, she has exactly as much experience as I. I would like to learn to sail/racing. I am new to sailing but not to being on a boat. I was in the USCG for 4 years and have experience in various seamanship tasks. My knowledge ranges from Boat/marine safety, search and rescue to Law enforcement. I am a quick learner and take direction well. I am a positive team player and easy to get along with.
