5 Star Rating

This winter I volunteered on the Schooner Martha restoration project. It was one of the most uplifting, engaging and inspiring experiences of my life. All aspects of traditional wooden boat shipwrighting were encountered along the way, with ample opportunity to learn new skills and gain a greater understanding of the history and construction of these rare vessels. Captain Robert d'Arcy is a very experienced and capeable craftsman, a 3rd generation shipwright himself. Along with his wife Holly- I never saw anyone work so hard as Robert and Holly do for something they believe in. These are extroadinary people indeed, and an impressive and rare classic schooner. Go see them!
