I was a CHP officer working the Gardena area around 1970. Rayson craft was on my beat and one day I dropped in and met Rudy Ramos and salivated over all of the boats he had in his shop. Another officer and his brother had a Rayson Craft. At the time Rudy was not building "recreational" crafts everything was for racing. I talked Rudy into building me a boat and it was a great experience as there were usually a half dozen CHP patrol cars at the shop everyday watching my beautiful boat being build. The boat was absolutely fabulous.

Unlimited Marine was Rayson Crafts first dealer located in South San Francisco, CA in 1959. We would purchase the blank hulls fron Rudy Ramos (founder)CEO of Rayson Craft and custom build for end user for whatever the need. Rudy Ramos died in 2006 but was always active in boat racing until the end. Lot of so called builders used the original Rayson Craft name as if they are the real manufacturers. We have the 18LP 1966 molds that Ramos gave us and have built one off's on special order since 1986.We are in Clearlake,CA.
