Reviewer: douglas gilmour 02-May-05Comment: Having decided that I wished to purchase a new dory for rowing on Richardson Bay, I consulted WOODEN BOAT. Mr. Najjar had a small ad in the back of the magazine. From the very first meeting, I found him to be very attentive to my wishes and needs and successfully matched those with many boat design options. Together we decided that the Blackfish dory would work well for my intended use. We kept in touch as progress was made on the boat. And when I first saw the completed dory my jaw dropped to the ground. Such a piece of art it was. And nearly five years later I still get constant comments from people passing by on their boats in the Sausalito area. Even open water rowers pass by my dory and comment on her construction and finish. Steve, in my mind, is a master small boat builder and I would highly recommend Steve to anyone considering a sound and jewelry-like small vessel. I've checked around since, and his prices are well in line with other fine boat builders. Doug Gilmour
