Reviewer: David Beede 30-Mar-08Comment: I have owned my 26.7 ft. Gause since March 2005 and I am more happy today than when I first bought the boat. The boat does everything Dave says it does. Fish in 12 inches of water. If you go with 1/4-1/2 tank of gas and 2-3 people I would say I fish and run in less than 10 inches regularly. The extra high tower allows me to spot fish at a distance and approach and set anchor far enough not to spook the fish. The high and wide gunnels offer a really dry ride and safety in rough seas. You can run laps around the boat on top of the gunnels. I am 6'3" 235 lbs and I regularly have 2-3 people in my tower running with me to see the fish we are about to catch. Coming off plane with the scissor bracket saves the grass flats from the tell tale scars you see left by trim and tilt boaters. The power pole mounted in the rear is integral with two extra rod holders in the front. Ideal for the 4 person charter and working a shoreline with the tide and wind. Could not ask for more in a fishing vessle. Thank you Dave for making a one of a kind! Some people say the two best days are when you buy and sell your boat. I disagree!
